Hello everyone, I'm new to PPC marketing. I have some question for Adwords: I've read on book that some people just put affiliate links directly on the Adswords ads and make good money by doing that. But that book was published on 2007 and I wonder if this still works now. I want to do the same thing, but I would like to hear some opinions from more experienced people like you guys before I start. Does this still works? Where can I learn how to make this work? I'm planning on getting Perry Marshall's book and the software "Keyword Elites 2.0", will you recommand them? I'll be grateful for your comment.
I will let the Pro's answer the first part, for the last part, keyword elite is well spoken of by many people so it would stand to reason it is a good tool. However it would depend on what you wanted it for, if it just to use as a keyword tool, then google's keyword tool is probably just as good and free. If However you wanted all of the other goodies in keyword elite then it may be an option for you.
The method you've described (also known as Google Cash) actually origns from around 2004, not 2007, and is indeed pretty much dead. While it's theoretically still possible to make money this way, you'll have to do A LOT of research and be very careful with your keywords and budget settings in order to avoid losing money.
I would suggest getting a product like Google sniper instead of your keyword software, because at least it will teach you about good keywords and how to make Adwords work for you. And about direct linking, it is NOT dead if you know how to use it! Of course using your own landing pages is optimal, easy and will result in more sales direct linking still works but I wouldnt try it without proper training and guides on how to use adwords with keyword optimization, which includes writing your ads and geographical targeting. I am about to make a post to this to my website soon actually, check it out in the signature link. Its not up yet but keep checking back because I will have it done in the next day or two.
