I have around 4 websites on wordpress, however recently I started a new website on wordpress and this wordpress is really very slow to operate within the dashboard. My other 4 websites wordpress dashboard are really fast, but this one, I have to wait for the cursor to show up, everytime I need to do some new command or even navigate from my pages. Does anyone know what is the reason for this ?
Hosting is same plugins are same too theme is woodmart theme. Does heavy resolution images can be the reason ?
images shouldn't impact the admin dashboard. Have you looked at the network charts in your browser to see if any files load significantly differently? Right mouse click on the page, select inspect, choose the network tab.
Is that related to wordpress? I was talking about this : https://www.sunnshinehk.net/ How do I check in the network tab, its mostly moving.
We won't be able to get to the admin dashboard but we can look at the homepage why is the folding chair image so delayed in loading and so slooow?
The folding cheap chair image is a slider on the homepage and it is not a big size image, do you think that is the issue?
The folding chair might be a problem on the homepage. Big question is why it doesn't start loading until so longer after everything else. However The homepage is not the dashboard, and your problem is with the dashboard, right? My example was to show you what to look for when you view the info from the problem site, and compare to the fast sites.
Actually at my end the website loads very fast, my only issue is the wordpress site is a bit slow. When I want to shift from pages to media files or any other next command, it takes atleast 10 seconds to showup the cursor, I think it must be related to the images, which was uploaded with high resolution, so I am trying to delete most of the images and resize them and upload.
I'm confused. There's a website, a wordpress site, you mention a dashboard. So you know the hosting is good. Have you looked at the network info at all?
Sorry to confuse you, My hosting is in hostgator and have around 5 websites hosted. All are wordpress websites, so the admin panel of the other wordpress sites are working fine and are fast. However only for this site, the wordpress admin panel, when I want to make some changes, its slow, really irritates me to wait for the next command to show up.
Ok, so looking at the homepage isn't necessary. Disable all plugins - does the speed improve? When you compare the network info with a fast site what are the noticeable differences? To see network info, do a right mouse click, choose inspect from the menu, go to the network tab, press refresh
It could be of many reasons so check for all the possible reasons I am going to mention below. You are using shared hosting as you are running 4 websites so check for the connectivity issue like server's connectivity. In shared hosting, the other websites can exceed the bandwidth limit that can make your admin panel slow to access. Use plugin for caching but don't forget to disable the database and object caching. Check your hosting is working fine or needs to be upgraded. Themes can also cause this kind of issue sometimes so choose the theme wisely and also uninstall unnecessary plugins. If your whole website is slow then you need to resolve this issue in a different way because there are other aspects too to fix the same. Hope this will help you to fix the slow admin panel issue.
