I have read having unique IP address can help your ranks, but I have also heard it really does mater. What do yall think? Also in the future, I want to advertise similar niche sites on my websites. Would it be better to have a unique IP address on each site?
No it doesn't affect rankings. One shared server can have many sites of the same niche. It's the way you plan your site and the advertising of your sites that matter in the end. Different IPs have a bonus with backlinks, but then again so does PR.
I have multiple sites on the same server and link only between them. Nowhere else. The PR went fine and so does everything else. My answer is NO. It doesn't. Maybe I'm wrong.
I think that it is better to have different IP, but if sites are in the same niche links will have some effect.

I got a ?.... I bought 8 dedicated Ip addresses? For example, they range from 123.123.123.72 to 123.123.123.79. So I was wondering, was it worth buying the dedicated Ip addresses since they have the same class A, B, and C IP addresses?
Well, 8 is not THAT much, but I doubt you get much extra benefit from them. Need different c-class IPs to get more benefits.
