I remember this blog saying that if the PR of your blog is high, the cost of CPM also is high, is it true? Thanks.
You are Wrong. CPC and CPM depends on the Niche you are Running, And The Destination of Your Visitors. Niche matters the most than the destination. I hope that made a point to you. Thanks
PR has nothing to do with CPM.. As above poster mentioned that CPM depends on the niche or the keyword you are targeted not the PR..
Ah, thanks for the information. That helps so much. Anyways, what's the high/top paying niche? Thanks
1. No one here unless they work for Google and are privileged to the payment formula can tell you the FACTS. Google does in fact tend to reward sites that they value via Page Rank. All my sites witih higher page rank earn more per click regardless of niche.
I agree with you. It's amazing how much rhetoric is spewed with no facts. Only Google knows. My personal experience says PR and earnings are linked.
No it does not. Remember CPM is also dependent on CTR, the higher conversion rates your site offers the advertisers the higher the CPM. PR is not one of the factors though. For those saying high PR earns more, well if your site has a high PR it is probably of higher quality. Higher quality = better content = more clicks. But PR itself is not a factor.
The short answer is that everyone here is right, as in life there's usually more than one answer to every question ...so in this case the answer is both NO and YES. And here's the long answer: - Those that say that CPM does not increase with higher PR are 100% right. Google's ads serving system simply shows the most relevant and high paying ad at any given time, it does not account for site's PR. - But those that say that CPM does increase are also right... however it's not automatic and is more of an indirect consequence The idea is that if you use AdSense channels to allow advertisers to bid for direct placement on particular ad spots on your site, I'd assume they'd be more likely to advertise on a higher PR site than on a lower PR/no PR site - thus increasing your site's CPM. Cheers!
I've noticed the older and more popular my sites get that I use Adsense on, the higher the CPM has become. My keywords have remained the same and so has my PR, so I don't think that has anything to do with it. For me, it seems age and popularity have a lot to do with it.
NOPE.. not at all. it is all based on traffic and clicks my friends. I saw one site of mine go from a 0/10 PR with the same amount of traffic to a 5/10 PR and no change in adsense CPM at all. only when the traffic went up i saw the money go up. Simple formula not related to PR.
