There are many blogs where you can make comments on posts. You can often put in the following: name email website comment Let´s say you have a site about cars, www.cars.com for instance and you´re aiming for the keyword "Ferrari" Then you can simply fill in the fields: name: Ferrari email: website: www.cars.com comment: hello, nice blog... or whatever. If the comment is approved, then you´ll get a link on that page saying "Ferrari" and it will be linked to www.cars.com. My question is, can such links improve your google rankings? Or does google not bother about links in comments on blogs?
imho, comment links are heavily discounted by Google these days even the dofollow ones however, constructive comments in relevant blog / sites will do more than Google Serps boost, it allow you to gain access to good traffic as well as build up a rapport with the site owner, who might link to your site from other content if he finds your site helpful. Spam however, pls dont bother.
Nystul , imo you don't have to spam (and I understand that it´s meaningless anyway). To find relevant blogs is easy (unless you have a super small niche of course). Writing constructive comments is also a easy. And to get your comment approved is also normally not a problem. One could easily get a dozen blog comment links in one day and even if they are heavily discounted as you say, then I assume that they give some kind google juice. I mean, it´s free and it's easy to get blog comment links and as long as they give something in return in terms of traffic and SERP, then what do you have to lose? =)
Blog comment is very effective nowadays when it comes to get backlinks as well as it helps also for the ranking of your site in every keywords that you link in.
Google still sees blog comments, but the value has been deprecated since is very easy to get. The regular expressions added for flags in the algos are nasty.
Hey dude, it is known as do-follow backlink and obviously do-follow back links help you to get traffic as well as page rank. Blog comment is able to improve google ranking.
if you comment on do follow blog ,you PR will increase, but many blogs are no follow links,so you need check it ,before you comment in blogs
If the blog is a do follow it positively affects it. If the blog is a no follow then you can see a boost in traffic. Either way i think Google will take notice because when traffic to any page increases, i think google will increase the ranking of that keyword as long as the traffic is consistent.
I would like to add that commenting early on popular blogs is a great way to get a little extra traffic, whether the link is dofollow or not. I have a website on page 2 of google and most of its traffic comes from clicks from a crappy link blast I did months ago. Only 20 visits per day, but if I had kept up with the link strategy, that could have been 100+ visitors/day just from blog comment links alone.
