does .com or .co.uk matter in my situation here?

I have a site/blog with blogger that bounced between rank 1 and 30 but now its gone for that keyword. First I think its to do with unnatural anchor text but now I noticed something else, when I view my blog the url is .co.uk which is what I have been building back links for but now in google it is actually showing up in the results as .com. So will I have to change all my backlinks to .com?

No i don't think so, Google always shows result in .com for any blog. You should build backlinks for your blog url .co.uk.

    Hi,

What database are you targeting? Google.com or Google.co.uk. No need to change your backlinks just continue building backlinks that are related to your niche :)

I want to rank high in the google.com. I will just alter my anchor texts and keep building as natural backlinks as possible.
