Does Co-Op Ads hurts adsense

I heard that co-op ads hurts adsense account , might be banned from google

Is it true

No, Coop ads are not contextual so there is absolutely zero risk

 

I've had coop and both adsense on my site for about a year and no problem. I took adsense down though since we no longer have a need for it. google didn't say anything to me

 

If link exchange or selling links got you banned, coop would do as well.

 

Um, link exchange doesn't get you banned ..... And um, co-op isn't paid ...... so um, what's your point?

 

The point is that co-op is only a clever way of link-exchange, why should anybody get banned for it?

 

sometimes coop ads are for big money terms, and the adsense will reflect that even if your page is about something else

This can lower your click thru rate.

and the section with co-op ads will be ignored by adsense...

 

what exactly does that do?

does that make the included section of the page to be ignored for calculating what ads to display?

Basically, the G bot will ignore the text inside of those tags when it determines the site subject by looking at the text on the page.

 

So your saying its not good to use co-op? I heard good things and bad things... I know with DP some people are getting some clicks but not much.. well i i guess i'll just read up more on it.
