Does Clickbank send out any tax information like a 1099 and if so, how much do you have to make a year before they send one?
I think I found the answer - they send a 1099 if you make over $600 - so I guess I better wait a few days to do my taxes after all.
it depends on how much you make money in affiliate if your income be over 600$ you should pay tax 1099 otherwise you shouldn't pay it
Yeah I think they mail it to you? I've never earned over $200 there so I've never done it, but it should be pretty simple
Since Clickbank is located in the US they are required by law to send a 1099-Misc to everybody in the US they made payments to. By law they have to mail a 1099 to you postmarked no later than Jan 31 however last year I never received one from Clickbank. They are also required by law to file 1099's with the IRS by Feb 28 if paper, March 31 if electronic. Any payments you received from Clickbank or any other AP fall under self-employed income unless you are incorporated or have another business structure other than a Sole Proprietorship (doing business as yourself). The Social Security tax rate for 2009 is 15.3 percent on self-employment income up to $106,800. The best thing to do is consult an accountant and declare all your payments even if you haven't received a 1099 from Clickbank. You can rest assured the IRS will know how much you were paid.
Doesn't matter if they send it or not. You still owe tax on the income you earn. So there is no reason to delay your taxes, unless you didn't track anything.
If you make a penny you still have to pay taxes on it. If its income then it needs to be written off.
So did anyone get their Clickbank 1099 yet? I called them and they told me that they were sent last week and should be here soon..
