Does Chitika really work? Doesn't seem to be working for me...

I was wondering what your experiences are with Chitika... I've had their ads on my site and have made less than a dollar in 6 months... is that even possible?
    I have 30k visits a month...

    interesting...
I never heard of Kontera... is there any pay per view instead of pay per click advertisers? I think I could make more money like that

I think it all depends on where you are placing your ads and whether they are targeted or not. My blog is in the MMO niche and although I do not have as many visitors as you I can clearly say that I make more money than you do with Chitika.

Can you show us the site you are using it on?

    I will.
There are so many rules on this forum and I am trying to be good... It says I have to be a member for 2 weeks and 25 post before I can post in the Site Review section so I am waiting to meet the requirements and I'll grow some thicker skin by then too ;-)

If you try to check my blog's list of income reports. Kontera is better than Chitika for John Chow. :)

Try placing the ads within the content and mask the ad so it blends in with the content, as this will lead to a higher click ratio

it seems like the way to make money today is to trick the users into clicking things and making them leave your website... isn't this counter-productive (in terms of user loyalty and content offering)?

It really depends on the niche. What niche are you in?
