Does changing name servers affect the seo of a site?

If a sites name servers are changed, can this affect how search engines rank a site when its eventually indexed. Currently its not indexed. I heard search engines dont look too favourably to sites where the name servers are changed regularly.

    Thanks

Doesn't matter, I've personally never seen an instances of name server changing to cause any search results issues SEO wise. If the domain name and URL structure say the same you'll be fine.

You do want to ensure the site remains online during the name server change as this can take up to 48 hours to complete across all DNS services. If the site appears to be offline when a crawler comes (especially the Googlebot) it can affect you negatively as the domain will be flagged as unavailable. If the same is true once they revisit the site then de-indexing can occur. So in short ensure that both the old host and the new host remains online for a few days after the change. If you are just updating the name servers and the hosting provider is remaining the same, then update one name server and await 48 hours prior to updating the secondary name server to reflect the new name server details.

no you are not going to get any change. The name servers changes are generally required at the time of changing your hosting provider. So, if you are goign to upload the same content then you are not going to loose anything.

I agree. I've changed the name servers of my other website and so far everything is in order.
