Does changing keywords and site description effects site's SEO and traffic?

    Hi,

I just bought a new tech site which is on blogger platform. I am not happy with its keywords and site description used. So, my question is does changing its keywords and description effects site's SEO, bots and traffic. If yes, the what should I do? Can I just edit more keywords without deleting any?

    Thanks

your total position will be dropped and you will not get the previous status of your site.
so changing them will be a very bad decision.
    thanks

    Hi,

If you do change in onpage when already promotion going on than it could be more risky for SEO promotion!

It will affect in your site serp ranking and traffic. If your change is in positive way then it will be more helpful for getting more traffic and rank. And if you going to edit your keywords , then choose such words in your keyword which highly entered by people for their search in your field. And set description in such a way that just by attracting to description information , people inspire to visit your site.

This will have two risks, the website will disappear first, second you have to start from scratch to build the link in accordance with changes in keyword

when you delete, change or add, it will surely affect it, sometimes, dramatically. Changing the font size of your website, might also change the bounce rate.

Your ranking is based on your keywords. So changing keyword will effect your ranking. Try to add new keyword while keeping the existing keywords. Later you can remove one by one and see the effect.

ok so i am confused now. Some people say even adding new and keeping old keywords also affect the site's SEO. I just want a clear answer that if I keep old keywords and want to add couple more, will it still affect my site badly? Because the site is PR2 and I don't want to loose that.

Yes, you will be get more improvement result while you edit your description, if your keywords are more than 2 of 1 URL, so you have to create description for every keywords and i suggest you to use one keyword in title, so you will be get instant result for site.

If you have got 'Market Samurai' you can do a check to see how you
are currently ranking for the keywords.

You will know then whether too keep going or if there is not a problem
    to change.

The problem is that the previous owner used good keywords but he add either "geek or geeky" on pretty much all keyworks.
For example, he used "geeky tech news" instead of "tech new". No one does Google search for with geeky. The word geek is in my both url and description, so I am not sure if its a good idea to add word "geek" on all of the keywords.

    Thanks
