    Hi
I'm wondering if changing my web hosting will have an effect on PR and SE ranks?
If it does is there something that I can do to resolve this?

Changing your host should have no effect on your rankings or PR. It is effected only when your site is not available for a prolonged period of time.

The best thing to do here would be to keep your old files on your old host for about 2-3 days after you have moved your site to the new host and once you see googlebot hitting your new servers, you can delete the old files from the previous host:)

Yes, you should be fine if you don't suffer any downtime, make sure to talk the change through with your new host and set the site up on their server before you change nameservers.

As onedollar says keep the old hosting for a few days to allow for everyones DNS to catch up.

While the your host has no direct effect on your PageRank, it does have an effect on your SERPs. Depending on which country your host resides in is where search engines will think your target audience is. I host all my servers in the US because that's my target, primarily google.com home and not any extension of google. Just something else to keep in mind.

this one is interesting since as far as I'm concerned, we're doing SEO techniques so that our site will land in the first few pages of the SE results as most traffic comes from there.
