last month i was getting a good traffic but low CTR, and very low daily income (maximum $0.5) and that's after like 10 click

    so

yesterday i changed the google adsense i'm using in my site (from square to banners) and changed it's location in the page...

my eCPM is way much better, and i made a buck out of two clicks only!

so does changing ad placement and ad shape effect the eCPM and CPC? or what happened with me was by chance?

Ad placement shouldn't affect CPC rate.

Well I think that's not the case. Your eCPM and CPC depends on the ad that is displayed, the ad that is displayed depends on the niche of the article and keywords you used to write the article. Geographic location also effects the cpc of you ads. If you get a click from developing countries your cpc is low and if you get a click from US or UK your cpc will be high.

Placement basically doesnt affect the CPC but it affect the CTR.
You cant compare the eCPM will low traffic, try to collect more traffic to see the different.
By the way, eCPM=1000 X CTR X CPC, so if your CTR increase, your eCPM also will increase

It could affect CPC yes, in a few cases. We don't know how it was before and how it after, but it's possible that by moving things around you corrected a mistake you didn't even know about.

my site is getting around 200 UV/daily (500 visits)
it didn't change since yesterday, so i'd keep an eye at the income and see if it really corrected something i was not aware ofor just happened by chance....

in anyway, i was thinking that maybe advertisers prefer the banner more than the square...

    maybe that's why ?
