    Hi,

I have a question regarding domain transfer. If I transfer my domain to another registrar will it reset the domain age? What is the SEO imapact of changing the registrar of the domain?

    Please advise.

    Cheers!

Changing registrar has no effect on the domains age.

domain age is maintained by central registry verisign so it has no effect if u change registrar. it affects only whois data format

changing the whois data/server info will cause a dip in website traffic, however will not affect the age of your domain name

The only thing that will happen is that you will add another one year expiry to the current expiry date.

I found and interesting behaviour at GoDaddy. If someone let a domain expire and it's dropped when someone has already backorder it or bid for it in the aftermarket, then aging remains the same
