Hi, Im totally new to internet marketing and looking to market few of my services online. I have seen peopel selling traffic here. Does it really work for them? are they real traffic or bots. I would appreciate comments from people who really bought the traffic from such sources and have been able to convert into sales. Thanks
I wouldn't invest in buying traffic yet. What you have to do is: Buy a website (the design). Create enough content targeting your keywords. Create your own (free) blog. Create Youtube videos and promote them. Promote as much as you can, then wait, wait, wait. It may take a while for people to recognize your website, but if you have good content and services they are looking for, they will definitely come back and (maybe) purchase goods for your website. If that doesn't work you should look in to PPC advertizing.
I don't think buying traffic will work, at least it has not worked for me in the past. Spread a word about your services on forums, blogs, and social networking sites. If you're offering something nice, then you will be able to get some good response.
if you think buying traffic as AdWords will work there are some great courses there. I wouldn't recommend it otherwise...
Selling traffic is one of the biggest scams I've ever heard of in my entire life. It rarely, if ever, converts. It is terrible, not targetted, and generally frowned upon by Google. It would be a bad decision to buy traffic. Your money could be spent better in other places.
what about the legit affiliate networks like directleads? this is not a plug just wondering...... if you sign up as an advertiser i see nothing wrong with using companies like this, as long as their legit
I'm not sure how those work and haven't ever really heard about them. Are these leads supposed to send you traffic? Normally, i've seen leads be email addresses, not actual traffic. Does it work like PPC or something? btw, PPC is a legitimate source of traffic. Generally, buying traffic is extremely inexpensive compared to those types of things. It's inexpensive because it doesn't work in most cases.
affiliate networks provide you real affiliates to work for u . I was just wondering if those claiming to sell traffic of 1000s for a 1$ do convert into real sales? . If otherwise what good are these traffic? just to boost ur ranking?
I'd imagine the only time they are used is when the people want to boost their stats so that their website looks more valuable than it really is. They probably sell it a few months later for more than what it is worth. Thats why you have to be careful when purchasing websites. It could also fake stats to boost sales of advertising on the site. Basically, it's a vicious circle but all about trying to scam the honest individuals. Thats why I frown on it so much.
i never buy any paid visitor since most of it junk and not help to increase your visitor for a long term. Just do some link development i'm sure it will help your site increase in term of backlink and visitor continuously.
I think it depends on type of the site, I've used AdWords for my site: dream interpretations and it was totally waste of money, but for some other type of sites it might help
I agreed, most won't work, unless you have money to buy traffic from big GUY like Yahoo/MSN etc. don't buy cheap traffic, it just waste money, specially those traffic from Pay-Per-Click site.
I would only buy traffic if you have the proper metrics in place to monitor the traffic and measure the results. Traffic sources are very flaky and it is very easy for you to know if the traffic is real or not. It is very easy to generate BS traffic these days. Keep in mind too that PPC traffic also has a % of Fraud clicks at about 10-25%. This is like shop-lifting, the customer always ends up paying for that in the end. The future of online advertising will be targeted niches such as buying CPM or CPC from sites you know have relevant traffic. Content Networks will be the new major trend to online advertising. Buyer Beware.
Yes, buying traffic works, worphco. Of couse it does. How do you think the big sites got to be so big? Think about it. How do you think they got to be so big? Askmen, for example, has over 4 million monthly visitors. They started out buying traffic, advertising. You just have to know where to go, how to do it, and have a site that can convert. Only dumbass noobs with dead sites think otherwise. Well, like the ones here. But advertising is not cheap. We are talking thousands of dollars. When you see a "service" selling traffic for, say, $35 for 10,000, run the other way! For 10,000, the price is more like around, say, $1,000. Starting out!
i dont think buying traffic helps in any of the way. as per my belief it is just a waste of money. as till you are paying the service it will sure give you traffic but as soon as you stop paying them the traffic will dicrease gradually if you only rely on the service. here what i sugggest is to market the site yourself very hard and that way you will surely get increase in genuine traffic. and in online marketing always remember the famous line. "Slow and steady wins the race."
