Does buying blog posts really useful in driving traffic

I want to buy blog posts from good PR blogs - Are they really useful in driving traffic, or they are just for a backlink building purpose?

They drive traffic, but usually never qualified visitors. In our experience, this was a complete waste of money.

 

that depends on the blog itself. forget the PR value, is the blog spammy? does it have traffic? does it have a real theme? does the blog itself have backlinks? when was it created? basically, is it a real blog that gets updated regularly with unique, comprehensive content? if not, then likely a waste.

 

yes it is. but blog should relevant to your website niche

 

i think blogpost are good for some backlinks not more

 

It is all about the actual traffic to the blog. If the blog has specific traffic that will be interested in your blog, the odds go up that the traffic will actually be worth something. It is for this reason that I don't buy them.

@ the steathy one - For the purpose of building backlink, are they worth it?

@vanshake - if the blogs are spammy, will they hurt your website, too?

 

1.) Yes, provided the blog is quality. In content links look much better than footer and sidebar links.

2.) It won't, otherwise your competitor would have ensured your exit by now .

If done well, buying blog posts do help.

 

Yes! Blog is diverting traffic on your website. But give money for this then it is useless. Because good visitor not come. But it is useful in back word link.

blog posts are great to quickly index the pages if it is a new site, and good for backlinks
i havent got experience with traffic conversion from blog posts as i mainly go for cheap blogs for the pr value

 

if the blog you are buying the blog post on is in the same niche and have decent traffic itself, then you will get some traffic. but usually people with good blogs don't much sell blog posts on their blogs as that would be sending thie own visitors away from their site which they could otherwise monetize. most people buy blogposts for link building purposes, not for driving traffic

 

Well, Blog can gain your traffic but targeted visitors I don't think so, But you can get good back link from this and good quality back links is always help to promote your site and get ranking

So the idea is being getting backlinks from good PR-ed blogs, no matter the content. So, buying bulk blog posts would be the way to go, then.

 

Quality backlinks will help you to improve the SERPs and in return, your traffic will improve. What I want to say is traffic and backlinks are related.

Dude! PR is not the only thing to be considered while buying links. Links from related and quality sites will be helpful in improving SERPs BUT links from high PR, un-related sites won't be of much help.

Always try to get links from related sites.

 

they do bring in traffic if they are famous articles..

like one article in my blog www.nofullstop.com went viral on SU and is still brining in daily traffic and the first article on www.theSenorita.com went viral on SU and is still brining in daily traffic...even after 4 months!!

so if you buy relevant posts than you do get good targeted traffic....plus some backlinks too...

 

It's only good for building backlinks to improve your SERPS, not sustantial traffic will be driven by buying a post.

 

I feel it is better to advertise on blogs which are relevant to your site. It brings targetted traffic which converts well.

Just posting on thousands of spammy blogs is not worth it. I had tried it in the past and had no results.

 

links from spammy blogs aren't going to help you much i think. will it hurt? i don't think there's a 100% yes/no right answer for that. so with the upside limited and an unknown downside risk why take the chance?

 

Articles are good to drive traffic because a lot of people read it and you get a permanent backlink in a blog.
