Does browsing around a website increase Alexa?

I have been browsing on my blog over the past couple of days quite frequently, visiting some old posts I've made and seeing how much I've progressed. I've also noticed that my Alexa ranking has risen at least 5k-7k, which seems pretty huge over the span of a few days. Is this because of me browsing around the site with the Alexa toolbar installed?

Do you not have some sort of stats? Visitors? or anything? You need a hitcounter to see if your traffic is going up.

I know my traffic is up and so are my daily pageviews, but I don't know how many of my visitors are using the Alexa toolbar because that's how, as I've come to know it, Alexa is able to track it's rankings

well, in my opinion, if you browsing every time in the same IP, then, the result will not because of you.

If you really want to up your rank you may want to try this - http://www.upmyrank.com/

I do not own and/or am I affiliated with the service, but I have used it in the past with success. Good luck.
