does browser affect positions in search engines some way

well i was wondering about my site keyword results

in opera it shows 2nd, in internet explored it shows 1st.

is this normal ?

 

i think yes, as what i know search engine has their own algorithm

 

That's very strange.
Are you sure the browsers are configured in the same way?
Preferred language for displaying pages, some kind of regional settings, etc. ?

 

using opera and ie, not done any changes in settings.
