Does bolding keywords affect ranking?

I have read multiple articles about the effects of keyword bolding. Does it really help seo? Can it damage seo work? Looking forward to hear about your experiences.

 

Also saw articles about this. Don't know if it still effects SEO but it was in the past.

 

Not sure. I do it primarily to help my readers.

 

in the past it was good for on page seo to have bold keyword inside the article, nowadays, on page seo less important

 

Too much bolding can make a page look messy and unprofessional, and it doesn't have much of an effect. However, bolding a key phrase every now and then to add value to the page is a good idea and never hurts.

I agree with this. I think its more important to bold the words only if it adds to the quality of the article itself, i.e adds emphasis where required, easier to read, clarification of important points etc. The article must always read naturally and flow well. No point having keywords in bold all over the place if it makes the article look messy.

Bear in mind that search engines nowadays may penalize your site for too high keyword density.

It may make a very small difference ... but there are much more important things to consider. Bold the words if it makes sense to you (as a human) and your readers (also human) don't do it just for the search engines.

Then worry about the things that will guarantee a ranking increase

 

as my experience, bolding keyword is very effective for seo in your site..I always bold some keywords in my article and I can get many traffic coz search engine will crawl your article fast

 

the bots are every smart this day....... yes bolding text on your page content help your ranking and you can see the results immediately after the next crawl of the bots. But if the bolding of the text or keywords are not proper then it can revers the results. becarefull when you do such kinda of tricks. you should always bold things that you really feel like its important in your on page content and visitors should see it. also do not just hold the keywords bold whole meaning full sentence to make it effective.

Bolding is good practice and it help us but dont do to much bolding so it look messy in your article..
just take little care and do bolding it will help your visitors also..

 

Considering that On page SEO has almost no value nowadays...I don`t think you can really say it affects it
