Does blogspot have authrority to rank well?

I know Ezine and hubpages already carry authority to rank well in the search engines. I have had a couple of articles rank very well with ezine and hubpages but not with blogspot so far.

So my question is blogspot does not carry as much authority?

 

With blogspot you are setup on a sub-domain so you don't acquire the domain authority from the main domain. You are basically starting with a new domain name.

 

Now I get it, so blogspot is like a completely different domain.

No a new blog post on blogger is not awarded any authority "credit", you're actually starting out fresh, yet google indexing time is pretty fast when using the blogger platform (That's basically the only positive side when using blogger, and of course that it's free hehe)
