He is also banned from Google for his tactics. Not good advice to follow. Still, people hang on his every word. He has a style that ropes people in.
I have a blog of 5 days old mobileremix.blogpsot.com which hits 50- 70 per day but... adsense earning is aroung $0.35 to $0.7 a day... tcsplacementpaper.blogpsot.com||mobileremix.blogspot.com
Thats really good for the low amount of traffic you are getting. My blog didn't start earning until I was getting 100-200 unique visits a day. And even then it was only a few cents a day.
Geek - I agree whole heartedly you must absolutely love blogging before you can make money at it, it must be a hobby from the start then become your business as more people subscribe. If you don't absolutely love to write about your topic, you should find another business to go into....
That is one way, however, niche marketing is a little more lucrative. You can make more on 250 targeted readers, that 1000 general clicks.
I guess to make better money in blogging you really need to choose the right niche with highly paid ads.
Well, I have made $2 from my blog this month and made $0.02 in july. It CAN BE profitable for some people.
John chow mostly got banned from google for buying and selling links - but hey he still makes more than most bloggers can dream of making, I'm not a big fan of google myself as I was banned from adsense because someone who didn't like my blog clicked on ads 97 times... and their appeal process doesn't work I think an autoresponder automatically spits out the same info to everyone who tries... Plus John Chow wasn't completely banned, he just received a PR knockdown, he still is ranked, just not as high as he once was... I could go on and on...about the negativity of google but I won't - I think they have way too much power, and need a good competitor sadly I doubt that will happen anytime soon though...
Maybe banned was a 'rough' word to use. But try a search for his name now and see where he ranks for that. Pretty sad when you cannot rank well for your own name, when everyone and their dog is pointing anchor text links with his name in it.
