Depends on how your comment is. You have to comment related to the article and that makes lot of traffic to your site.
Blog commenting is still working. However, using only the comments of the blog as their main source backlink is not wise. Your backlinks should appear as natural as possible, we recommend you get backlinks from various sources such as: - Official Blog - Homepage Backlinks - Articles - Videos - Forums
I think, blog commenting is every green seo strategy just like article marketing. But if we want PR then we have to look for the dofollow backlinks, nofollow comments will only help us to bring referral traffic, that's it.
Yes, I also think that it works. But make sure that you comment niche-related sites, your comments are valuable and informative and related to the subject of the post that you comment. On this case you will not only have backlinks, but this may give you quite a bit of traffic. Wise blog-commenting will also be able to earn yourself a known name in specific field, it's like building up and promoting a brand.
Thanks for your answers, guys. Appreciate it. I think branding comments is very important. It should not be like saying thanks in the comment and get one link. The comment should add value to the conversation I guess. And one more info - Top Commentator blogs offer home page backlinks for top comment guys. This is really a great window to leverage.
Well, I do Comment backlinks on some do follow blog manually though it is really consuming my time, hope it will paid off soon enough.
Yes, blog commenting is definitely still a very effective link-building strategy. Just make sure that you always post a valuable comment that is relevant, you comment on posts on a variety of websites, and the blogs you comment on are relevant to what your site is about.
I agree with bumba. Blog commenting still works well, but make sure to comment on relevant blogs and to not appear spammy with a lot of posts on irrelevant sites.
Blog commenting does work but like it used to before Panda, after Panda only quality content and relevant links are all that prevail.
It will always work. Some advice is if your keyword is a little too exagerated or lets say.. UGLY like i experienced for a former client, it always helped talking to the webmaster about your experience, promise him you will do quality comments and he will leave you alone. Top Commentors also works great.
yes it still works, if you can find blogs with content related to yours, even better. If they are a high PR, then that is more link juice for your website
I'm not having much luck with this. I post comments related to the blog entry, and most times mine is the only one even close to the topic. All the rest are obvious generic mass-posted comments. But for some reason, mine is the only going in the bit bucket. It happens on pretty much all platforms, so I must be on every blacklist there is. One place even seems to delete my comment out of a sea of spam, every time. It happens when I use my name in the name field instead of keywords, so I'm assuming it's based on my site name (?)
