I've noticed that the more articles I post, the more backlinks I'm gaining naturally without needing to comment on tons of blogs to gain PR and such. Do you think once your blog hits a certain level of popularity and traffic you can stop using time to post comments on blogs for backlinks?
Heck yeah! I would love it if my site was popular enough so it wouldn't need backlink it myself. Let the people backlink for ya - that's great!
If you have a great content rich blog and lots of regular visitors, it is natural for you to get backlinks automatically. Even then, I guess posting comments on other people's views and ideas is a good thing too... at least for good interaction, if not for back links! Regards, RightMan
Blog comments should be used as a method to interact with other bloggers, they are a perfect way to getting invited for a guest post. (link in guest posts are great ;-)) Owners of DP will gain very little by posting blog comments. The value of most such link building methods go down with time.
I think blog commenting doesn't hurt. But if you have huge traffic and less time then you can skip this part.
Commenting is always a plus point to build back links for a website. I think it will not drop suddenly
I am doing my own blog commenting but finding good blogs to comment on is not easy. It takes forever but I know it's important. I have a new tech related blog and need to do it, so I am enduring.
Posting search engine optimized articles on high PR Web sites or blogs is one of the best ways to generate quality inbound links. Also, you shouldn't post blog comments to try to increase your PR; most blogs are nofollow and don't pass on any link juice. However, you may be able to generate traffic from blog commenting or comment marketing.
I would think of this just like sales. Think about it as if you were a salesman and you busted your tail marketing and gathering people to listen to your pitch. (commenting on blogg's) You know have a walk in market of people running to you to get information. These people would also reffer other people to you because you are a subject matter expert. (Free Backlinks) If you stop this process you will dry up your resources, so yes keep backlinking and develope an even flow for yourself for the long run. If your looking for a short term burst then all is fine and stop but if you want the revenu to keep comming in every month then keep the backlinks going. (Heck if it gets to popular hire someone to do it for you) Just my 2 cents.
Well, according to me, Blog comments are always useful whether they are no follow or do follow. The traffic is more important according to me other than the PR. After all, your traffic stats will earn you revenue other than any high PR. Comments are a good way to build back links and once your blog is popular enough, you can skip the commenting part and people will automatically back link to your articles.
Yes they do. Depending if the links are static in nature or no. most blog links drop out of cache over time.
