Yup! Certainly it does make difference when do-follow links are targeted.. But these days its also become like old fashion to go with
That too I say. Kind of old fashion. I wonder, where you STILL find moderators of high PR blogs to let your comment pass in with a nice link to your site.
It works, but it also takes a lot of work. First you need to find good blogs with high pr in your niche, then you need to come up with some smart and clever comment that will trigger the visitors to click your link. At the same time you're competing with 100's of other blog comments that have the exactly same goal. But, you could get some decent backlinks.
I use blog commenting as way to bring awareness to my affiliate program. I average about 50 blog comments a week.
A lot of comments above about making relevant useful blog comments. The reason for that is most bloggers use Akismet, a web service that detects spam and marks certain sites as spammers. If your site gets marked as a spam site you will have a hard time getting relevant links back. Always read the post and make a useful comment. Today alone i deleted 33 spam comments from one site i own, just don't do it.
Having the technique of blog commenting is still working in all terms of marketing. But do not spam..
I know many marketers who swear by this. Ultimately, though, I've only ever benefited from it by getting backlinks, not traffic. I would much rather have the traffic, but it's never produced much for me in that regard.
I agree with webar2007... You must invest big time in this job, but you get good benefits back. Why not to outsource the operation? It's easy today.
Hi, you can find the do follow blogs directory here. i've googled and got it. have a look on it. followlist[dot]com thought to share it with u pals.
There are so many people... "guru's" that are saying blog commenting is still a viable seo tool. Why is that? Are they trying to lead people away from the online "pot of gold" so they can keep the secret to themselves? Is this a new conspiracy? lol
I get traffic from blog commenting, but that's not why I'm doing it. I'm doing it because it builds relations, and adding value to conversations are important. I usually just comment on 20 blogs or so, and I do it on a regular basis, this way people who visit the blogs knows who I am and that they can enjoy my advice / trust me. If you pick 20 blogs with good traffic in your niche, it will be enough in order to get great value from blog commenting. - Jens
Do-follow works, that is fine but can you give me some examples of do-follow blogs,or a list of it. I serached but end up mostly with a no-follow high Pr blog.
I have yet to meet a high PR Dofollow blog moderator who will happily allow you to insert links in your posts. No matter how regular you are and how useful or targeted your comment is.
