Does becoming an amazon affiliate affect my google ranking

    Hi

    I currently generate money from my site through adsense but I am thinking of becoming an amazon affiliate. I wanted to know whether becoming an affiliate would affect my google ranking or interfere with my adsense account. My site is

    There is no problem combining Adsense and Amazon, certainly not in the terms of either company, nor probably from a SEO point of view. Having said that, I think Google DOES recognise the Amazon affiliate "footprint" very well by now, so you DO need to make sure it doesn't become another "Amazon site". It's the same as any site, just keep the focus on quality content, not on piling ads in everywhere you can, and you should be fine.

    My other question would be whether Amazon products would work very well with a political site. Apart from kitsch Obama memorabilia, maybe... But I don't really know who even buys that stuff. An Obama iPhone cover?!
