Does Backlinks matters for PR for forum

    Don't chase PR as PR doesn't not equal search position. I have some really solid PR2 websites that outrank many PR4 and PR5 websites.

    PR is not a good indicator of a good link. I would look at:

    -site age
    -backlinks
    -location of where your link is placed
    -relevancy

    Yeah backlinks are one factor in the equation of page rank..as is unique content, keyword relevancy, etc...

    Pr is only a meter of a website popularity. It doesn't help in SEO either.

    Initially YES for forums ..later on its always maintain its backlink as members grow .
