Does article submission still work?

As we've just got hit with the second round of Panda update, I wonder, is it still worth doing article submission or better concentrate on other things? What do you, guys, think?

No its not working now. choose 5-6 top article directories and submit different articles on them(not the same).

 

Well for my opinion Directory Submission still worth a lot.... by submitting directory you can get many back link from the directory submission and which helps a lot getting page rank.

 

Depends on the Quality of the article and the quality of the directory..there was a list on search metrics blog which shows the list of directories that are affected..

 

A lot of the major article submission sites had their rankings and traffic slaughtered as a result of Google's original Panda update a few months back. Looks like a clear statement about Google's opinions of these content sources.

A few people are confusing article submission with directory submission in these comments; they are generally very different things of course, although some directories do invite article submission.

Alot of people just steal other peoples articles and put their links in their. Sucks

Although they still hold importance in SEO but now a days content is the king, so try to do as much as possible on site work with quality keywords and unique content.
