I had an article that was on the first page of google. I suppose my competition saw this, and overtook my little ezine article in a matter of days. I didn't even get traffic for that article. So my question is, Has article marketing actually helped you out? and if it has, can you tell me your techniques over a private message. [if that's alright with you ;] Thanks guys!
How many 100s of articles have you submitted to how many sites? Yes, it does work. Well at least it did last year but you really do need to work hard. 10 articles submitted to 10 sites each will not do. Also first page of Google... Well what keywords are we talking about? Id rather be 50th for keyword "blog" than 1st for keyword "Pink wordpress theme".
I use article marketing, I submit an article or 2 a week for each of my sites, yes it does work, it works very well. Slow and steady wins the race. There are other factors of marketing, you need good content, you need to get links from other sites, blogs and forums. My main link building function is article marketing, I am not depending on the traffic coming from people reading the articles, I want people to use my articles and point back to my sites. There are those who do get very good traffic from people reading the articles and those people click on the links and come to their site. Cheers
It definitely works. For me, results haven't been instant, but thanks to my articles and content I've seen a steady increase in the search results of the site I have articles on over the past year or so.
Yes it works, especially when you target certain keywords you are looking to rank for in your resource box... backlinks, backlinks, backlinks...
