I was wondering what you guys think about having ONE article being submitted to MULTIPLE article "directory" website... I was thinking to write a unique/useful article to promote my web design agency I have just opened... but I don't want to have problem because of submitting the same article to multiple article websites... So is it OK or NOT? do you have previous experience with this? Did it help... does it worth?

What do you mean by optimized article. What does the article optimize.Can you be more specific. And you are telling me to add keywords, How does help?
Optimising an article just means that you focus on your keywords e.g. dark blue widget and mention it a number of times particularly near the top of the article. The keywords tell Google that the article is relevant to your site: assuming your site is about dark blue widgets. Traditional article marketing means submitting articles to article directories such as goarticles and 10,000's of others (not ezinearticels.com - you have to hand submit to them!) The disadvantage is that you are only allowed keyword anchored links in your bio or resource box of your article :the place that google appears to put least weight to the link. I've been using a new service called article marketing automation. Your article is able to be spun (so you are providing unique content) and is submitted to blogs owned by others who register their blogs with the network. The twist is that a) your content tends to go to niche blogs rather than general article directories and b) you are allowed up to 3 anchored links anywhere in the article - in fact there is no bio box. In 2 weeks of using this service (which is paid if you want to add articles, free if you just want to add blogs for free content) I have seen sites jump from nowhere to page 1 or 2 - that's what get you paid not the (generally, again except ezinearticles) woeful amount of traffic you will get!

You can get money writing articles and content for others (i.e. http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=929109) and you can increase the traffic to your site by submitting articles with links to your site.
The traffic and link juice you can get from good quality articles is excellent. If you can continue to provide unique and interesting articles, you will reap the rewards (traffic and backlinks)

Writing articles is probably the easiest and most efficient ways of generating traffic and gaining some free advertising at the same time.
As far as the formatting, be sure to read the terms of service of the site where you want to submit your articles. That way, they'll likely be approved. Also, you should take a look around at some of the sites where you'll be submitting your stuff, and look at some of the existing articles there, since the existing articles obviously already passed the publishing guidelines.
