Does anything other than .com & .net get type in traffic?

I've been parking around 225 domains for about a year now, and have noticed that anything that isn't a .com or .net (this includes .us, .co.uk, .me, .info) hasn't gotten a single type-in traffic visit. Is this pretty much the norm?

Yes. It is not the name itself that gets traffic. It is how you drive traffic to your domain that counts. Just curious as to why you think traffic will flow to a domain name? I mean, maybe I am not understanding your question or issue.

I'm talking solely about parked pages and domains that only get type-in traffic.

I think .org and .info would get some minimal traffic.

Also, don't forget about ccTLD domains! They are the .com for some countries.

But for the most part, you associate type-in traffic with .com

I'll be damned. Never hear about it or considered it. Here is a quote from Google:

"Now, parked domain sites offer ads that can be relevant to a user's search query. Some parked domain sites also include a search box, which allows users to further refine their search. Depending on the design of the site, a parked domain site will be classified as either a search site or a content site. That means your ads may show on parked domain sites if your campaign is opted in to the search or content networks."

Think I will still stick to the proven common sense methods:)

Yes, other domain extension can get good ranking. I have a .us site that ranks on page 1 and 2 of google for its targeted keywords.

When I update the blog on a regular basis, it moves up to page 1 of google.

Since I do not update the blog very often, it floats around on page 2.

But either way, Yes, I have seen other domain extensions rank well in Google SERPs.

I have gotten type-in traffic & clicks on all different extentions, from .com, .net, .org, .info, .tv, .co.uk, etc. but naturally, it wouldn't be anywhere near the traffic that a .com would be

popular ccTLDs like .de, .uk, .ca, .in etc too get you a lot of traffic..but com/net remain the most popular ones..

you need to target the right keywords ,words that are searched by people or typed directly in the browser are better for this.
if you park a domain name with an exact keyword or phrase that is searched for online, you will have traffic without stress.
another thing you can do is promote the parked domain names.
