it's almost impossible to turn a profit unless you are VERY good at it and have large amounts of money to throw at it.

yes its allowed. I've done t many times, but my monthly budget was typically around 15-20K to pull it off.

Hmm you don't need a big monthly profit to start doing this. I do this with a high paying keyword site that I then tweak my adwords site to give me cheaper click prices for example.

I have a web hosting site with adsense on it. I normally get about 2 - 3 dollars per click!

I have a adwords account and only pay about .06 cents to get a click to goto this site! And thats using keywords that have to do with hosting so that I'm getting targeted traffic. I can't list the keywords here as well obvious reasons, but I only invest about 50 a month in adwords and I make about 600 a month right now in return my my web hosting site that has adsense on it!

EDIT: Of course right after I posted this I got an email from someone saying well why don't you invest more than to make more of a profit... The answer is simple...

The keywords I use in adwords only get so much traffic a month, so naturally I can't increase how many people are searching for the keywords I'm using!

Yeah Mystickcal is right. You don't need a huge budget to make money with this. I started with $50 a day, and it has been very good for me since.

In my own experience (and obviously different for individual and sites) it can work if you have other revenue sources on your site. If you relied on ONLY adsense revenue then the math woud be something like this

say if cost you £0.10 per visitor from Adwords and got 100 visitors a day it would cost you $10

If 5% of those visitors click an adsense ad on your site that would be 5 clicks.

You would therefore need to earn £2 per click to break even

Now if you were able to find ads that paid $2 a click it is unlikely you could get them there for $0.10 in the first place.

Obviously there are many different permutations on costs etc but I have used reasonable CTR assumptions etc and it looks hard to make it stack up unless you were getting 20%+ CTRs on your adsense ads.

He is very right in what he says, but what you must realize is that there are ads that pay like $2 or $3 a click where you can get keywords to goto your site that has to do with it that you can only pay .05 to .10 cents a click for.

Here is an example. I will use my web hosting site again...

My Adwords site has ads about Web Hosting. I normally get about $2 - $3 dollars a click when someone clicks on an ad.

Now I'm not gonna tell you what keywords I use as less comp :) but lets just say I use the keyword farther down the list like dedicated web hosting. Now most of the big people are bidding high on web hosting, but hardly anyone is bidding high on dedicated web hosting, so I can obtain clicks for this keyword for only .05 to .10 cents a click! (dedicated web hosting actually is alot more per click...it was just an example. LIke I said, I can't give away my good well reasearched keywords :) )

Here is another trick i will share with everyone! Image ads with adwords! Alot of keywords that you pay 4 or 5 dollars a click for text ads you can use an image ad for and only be charged .20 - .30 cents! I swear on my life! I'm doing it as we speak so I know!

Also, please realize this isn't an easy fast way to make money, you must spend alot of time finding that niche were you can get great monies from per click yet also be able to bid on getting clicks for a price much lower!

For example. If you get $2 - $3 dollars per click for web hosting ads...It wouldn't make much sense to pay more than .40 - .50 cents a click because of CTR issures. In other words, not everyone that clicks on your ads to goto your site are going to click on one of your ads to make you a profit! Just doesn't happen like that!

If I've helped you and you make any money doing this please send me a PM letting me know how much you love me lol!

PS. Maybe even share some of the wealth!!! J/K

PSS. You could give me some green rep though :)

I agree, I search thru the web and there is a lot of success with Adsense and Adword, I think the hardest part is in figuring out the cheap keywords in Adsense.

    Thanks for your response :)

I'm not so much into making money via adsense, but i did do a couple of research here and there.

Firstly, if you want high paying ads to show in your website, you need to be having high number of traffic. Many people see a potential in... e.g. Web Hosting and build one, hoping to get their high paying ads click on. Google will ensure the relavancy and traffic in the website before assigning ads into the websites. With the help of adwords, I think there will be no problem with that(Gaining traffic).

Secondly, in building a website, you need not only want your income source to come from only adsense. What most people did is to provide a informative website(attract others to come back more), promote affiliate products, and to build a mailing list (you can do this by giving them free things whenever they sign up). Be careful though, do not be too obssesd in making money with affiliate program and make the whole website affiliate based. If Google staff ever spots it, they will blacklist it as affiliate orientated and you have to pay a higher CPC(sth up till $8-$15 per click). If that ever happen, it is best that start over again and use a different domain name.

Then again, I may sound pro but the fact is... I need help! Lol... I've juz started adwords last friday and already spent $60 in advertising and still no sales yet. You can post in the thread "Help needed... \/=~_~)/" to help

    Yes, its possible...

But after the last Adwords update,.... you need to concentrate on lowering
the cost per click from $10 back to $0.05

Please send me a Private message ... i can tell you how
