I use Yahoo Answers. I find my search engine traffic from Google is about 10x greater than that of Yahoo's on average. However, Yahoo still sends a significant amount of traffic.

I still get close to 1/3 of my searches from Yahoo. I also get far more specific searches from them, which usually means a better chance of a sale.

While I only use Yahoo for the site: operator, it's obvious many people still use it as a search engine.

No Yahoo is the # 1 traffic site and it has nothing to do with Google.

Just in case you missed the last 15 years Yahoo advertised for years including the Superbowls and as such has been the # 1 traffic site for years.

    Want more facts ??

Msn is the # 2 site for most traffic.

    Ebay is # 3

    Google is # 4 ;)

    Check sites such as compete.com alexa.com quantcast.com and hitwise.com

This will help you to not make statements that are without merit.

    :)

It's very obvious that Yahoo has the most traffic due to the fact everyone has it as their default homepage. And many set it as their homepage. Google's not really a homepage, people use it when they need it.

all of you should start using msn search if you want msn to come up with its publisher network
low search engine traffic is the only thing that is holding msn back for launch its publisher network
google is acting as a king now, it will disable your account for no reason. the only company that can compete with adsense is yahoo and msn, and as we can see, YPN fail, so all hope on msn publisher network.
we need msn's publisher network to compete with adsense, then we as publisher can benefit from this.
i use msn to seach everything.

Yea I use Yahoo, but not as much as I do Google. Google is a lot more simpler, as yahoo have news and other things on their homepage (which isn't bad just not really what I want on a search engine) so I tend to stick with Google.

That's because yahoo is a portal for everything - news, games, etc.

Because of all their value-added services, they've managed to stay in the race for a while. For example I hate yahoo search but I still go to yahoo homepage every day to check and read the news. They've bought themselves some time but really need to catch up on their search technology fast otherwise people will start jumping ship. For example I use igoogle now and can get the news on my homepage there, so as soon as it's as good as yahoo news I won't be visiting there very often anymore..

Honestly the only things I use Yahoo for, is Answers.yahoo.com (when I'm bored or put few links) and Yahoo site explorer and backlink checking. (for SEO)
The only thing I use for MSN for is their Mail. and I use Google for searching
