    Hi,

I was wondering if anyone had any experience with this content management system.

    http://www.typo3.com/

I'd like to know how well it works for SEO and inserting adsense.

    thanks

I used it for a while on a couple of different sites, but found
    1) There is a pretty big learning curve to figure out how to use it (especially the admin)
    2) I could have custom coded everything I needed without a CMS system
    3) In some situations there were speed issues

I'm sure there are some situations where it works great, but I would encourage you to also explore the idea of a php/smarty site, which I believe will contain less code, and can be customized to fit your specific needs.

    Good luck! :)

    hi dvduval,

Thanks for the great info. I agree with you about the learning curve. I need a CMS and wanted to avoid Mambo but Typo3 seems to take some serious dedication to get set up and running. I might invest the time for a paying client but this is just a hobby site to generate a bit of adsense income. I think I'm going to go with WordPress because this site is not too complicated.

    Thanks again.

Typo3 have lots of features but its too hard to learn. Try something simple like Drupal perhaps.
