I use joomla for a couple sites including one in my sig. sketchfile.com. I really like it. The amount of high quality templates available is huge and the forum ay the official site is helpful. Its especially appropriate for sites which are updated frequently and community sites. I would just browse around their official site for more info: joomla.org

    Good Luck

I use Hostgator and I build a lot of site with joomla - I find them great for building Professional sites..
I recently built - Bush-Bloopers.com , BlackhatMethods.com and DigitalPLR.com for my self and also just completed 25 installs for a customer...

If your looking at hosting - see my sig link - and join hostgator for only $0.01 for the first month with no contract to stay on if you dont like it...

I just moved to Joomla 1.5, which is a lot better than the previous version. Once you try version 1.5, you will never look back again to Joomla 1.13.
