Does ANYONE think a 'get back ex' product is good to create?

    Hi DP members,

I would like to create a product on:

    "get back ex girlfriend/boyfriend"

It would be placed on CB.

    Also, a products on:

"How to get over a breakup"

Are these types of products still good to be created?

    Thanks!

If you want to get into this niche you better big your A-game because there's some really good publishers already at it. That being said, I'm impressed with how well this niche converts, I just recently started getting into it.

As Zibblu said, you better have your A game ready. There are some real good vendors who are making a killing with their products, that includes a couple from here.

Make sure your product is good because you competitions is very good!

I think you should come up with a new product idea and do proper market research instead of asking forum members what they think.

Use tools like Google Trends and the Adwords Keyword Tool to discover how "hot" the market is, then have a look around the CB marketplace at any competitors. For each competitor, analyse it's strengths and weaknesses, and think about how you can do it better. If there's loads of competitors and you can't do much different, it's going to be hard to get noticed. If there's no competition, it might be because there's no market.

At the end of the day, by all means ask for some feedback on your ideas, but it has to be your own research that backs up your product creation decisions.

So many guys are dumped and are chumps so instead of moving on they are desperate to get their girl back. Very sad but very exploitable and desperate for a solution :D

You could try a unique angle but you might not get as many sales. e.g. trying to get a white girl back, or a black girl back etc. Different cultures demand a different approach.

Or perhaps you can create a get your ex back product in the holebi market.
Of course your audience would be much smaller but competition would also be almost zero.

Get out of this niche already. There's just too much of the same stuff already.

Nowadays, I just promote the top 3 of this niche. Can't be bother with the rest.

I just had an idea that you may want to use, perhaps you should create a "get your ex back" product that is a bit more focused, i.e. you focus on just "get your girlfriend back." That focus may allow you to stand out from the crowd a bit and may get you even better conversions for those looking for exactly that (you can focus your marketing on the male demo entirely.) Sure the market will be smaller but it's still plenty big enough to make a fortune. Actually I think this is such a good idea I may do it myself. Well maybe if I wasn't already swamped with a huge "to do" list.

@Zibblu: very true. Although, it doesn't necessarily need to be an entirely new product. The highly successful "Truth About Abs" simply has two dedicated sales letters - one for guys, one for girls. A short lander diverts traffic to the appropriate letter, and probably dramatically increases conversions.

This is where marketing takes over from advertising. You can market the same product from several different angles without changing a single word in the actual product itself.

Great point Tiger. Although like the simplicity of the product being specifically for one demo group. What you're talking about is probably a better plan if you want to create a *really* successful product.

Right now I'm playing with the ideas of different landers for different demos for my product. I'm not sure whether I want to create entirely different landers or just pre-landers (like a page on my website that talks about why this diet is so great for men and and then that page leads to the final salesletter.) Entirely different landers would probably be more successful but they'd also be much much more work.

And they don't sell to much. I have a few .org and info names leading to a few and the conversion is crap unless you want to hang around relationship forums for hours on end.
