Are the IE stats rolled up into a larger overall IE browser stat of say, 18.18%? That would add up.

My site stats initially break down by browser, adding up to 100%, then the drop-down list for each browser, e.g. Firefox or IE is further broken down into another 100% of which FF or IE version, if you get what I mean?

For me it depends on which computer you're talking about. Main browser is Mozilla, then one computer has been updated with IE7, the other still has IE6. Good for testing.

My mother hates IE7 with a passion. It's been giving her a miserable time on her computer.

Yes you can if you are using a genuine version of Windows.

    I am using IE7 and FF 2.0.

I have been liking IE7 better lately.

IE7 for XP is a way different than IE7 for Vista. The only reason i have to use Opera (a lot better than Firefox) was tabs, but since IE& have tabs and other good gadgets i prefer it. It's the very best integrated in Windows so i prefer it.

IE7 is full of bugs, I'm not liking it at all. Back to IE6 if they don't release a patch soon.

Yeah - if you are using the official release - it's better than 6 and a lot better than any other browser at the market. Just for example - which is this company which have access to Windows source code, and which is capable of making a product perfectly integrated in their system???

And which is this company which will give it's software for free if it's so good?

Yeah - i don't like Microsoft because of their behavior at the market, but i still prefer their products (at least till some new company make really good product for the final user and as stability, and multi functional as Microsoft's) because of their user friendly environment, technical support and realization.

A lot of you will say that they are most commerce software company in the f**king world, but aren't a lot of things in our lives the same - just look in 7-eleven, Wal-Mart, Albertson's in USA and Shell, ESSO, Metro in Europe??? You are buying from this titans because they give you good prices for quality products you can just go home and start using. Same is with the Microsoft - they are the biggest and may be the fastest growing company in the world of software. Even RedHat and SUSE are now payed - but i still think they are not good enough for normal average user.

So stop crying which is the best - we can talk for IE7 when we use it on Vista - and when we can see the real difference between that products.

does usage count if you accidentally open the program :p :p

though I realize that the intent wasn't necessarily a 'this vs. that, we can't have a thread such as this without mentioning http://www.ie7.com/

    :D :D

yeah - very good site - but i still think that if it was simple redirect it will be a lot more intresting.
Anybody can make such a stupid joke without even start to think for spending the day better. And of cource what exactly are you doing on that browsers so you need that much stabilty, security and noobility?

Some of people I know in person (actually i don't know anyone form DP in person) are using Firefox because they "know" it's bettrt than IE, or "hate" Microsoft because of "stupid unsecured" issues. All of them are useing their computers to watch illegal moovies, listen illegal music, and plaing illegal games - just because they like "OPEN SOURCE" (and think that when you want to use any kind of software you should have it free, but they are pretty sure they must be sell their products or work.
Yes - Firefox is good browser but sitll it's not the best one (nor is the IE). Just the only chance for the best browesr is from the company made phe OS, and nobody else.

I still use IE 6. It will be a while before we go to IE 7 because I develop web applications and I need to test in IE 6... at least till majority of the people upgrade to IE 7.
