Yeah offline advertising is great, you can advertise in the local paper.

Or, you can print out a few hundred flyers and blast them at your local flea market...

Yes I am also in the offline world, selling to small business owners great marketing tactics and all that.

I normally don't sell seo the them just like everyone else though.. I sell specific systems and other things.. But a good lead capture campaign can be worth a very lot to them.

Not sure if that's what you meant by offline...

The list of offline possibilities are endless
If your goal is to get business without the web, then you have to do some research and analyze what your options are. One thing is certain though: you have something that others want. Your goal is to let them know that. This can be done by exchanging business cards or leaving a few at businesses you visit, passing out flyers, handing out brochure's that go over your products/services, signs on vehicles/windows/shirts/hats.

And then there's the good old word of mouth
Talking to people, building a relationship, and helping others will most likely benefit you in the long run. You'll find that if you treat a person right, one day they're going to come across a person that needs a service and they're going to say "Oh yea, I know a guy..." "They're the best". That's the best kind of referral you can get in the business.

Yes there are still businesses that market the “old school” way. They do it by use of posters, flyers, business cards, and some do it the unique way by wearing costumes and just about anything that get people’s attention. Although the scope can sometimes be just around your neighborhood but they have a lot of fun in marketing.

Even if you're marketing online, you should be marketing offline.

Got an affiliate link? For cheap text books?
    ...Are you at school?
    ...Are there bulletin boards around?
    ...Do you have a printer?

You have places to post your link!

It works. People will manually type in a link they find on a piece of paper, they will.
Build it and they will come.

I worked with a local print shop that gave me free business cards and flyers because they liked the promotion I did for their site so much.
Only thing more bizarre than marketing a print shop or offline marketing firm is marketing another SEO company's site. But it's all good and fun, PLENTY of clients to go around.
