Selling things other than guides on how to sell things on the internet? It seems to be that all of these people are getting rich selling the dream to people. No product just selling you a self-perpetuating guide to making money... Any comments?
Well I was involved in this, although I didn't make any money from it. I look back on those days and I hate it now - I was too naive and optimistic about things. The get rich quick schemes are usually scams though in my opinion (just saying)

Adsense is certainly a good way of making an honest internet income - it motivates webmasters and bloggers to make quality content. Of course even this is abused - I'm not sure how successfully, but some people sell "adsense-ready" web sites and duplicate content to use. That's not really honest, but I doubt it really makes that much in the long term
I am making money. There is an actual product, but you're never going to make money selling product. People don't want a product. They want to their dreams to come true. Appeal to their dreams, their hopes, and you'll make sales. Tell them about your product, and you'll be broke forever.
I am making money with adsense (in cents), with link sales, selling domains. Actually I am not making a lot, But enough so that I am happy with my earnings.
Yes, selling products is OK, but selling dreams is a gift (and a curse for those buying the crap). I really think most of those programs make little or no money.
Most of the ebooks on how to make money are all about affiliate marketing, ppc, and selling information products.

I really haven't made any money yet selling things online. I made some money offering my services and some advertising.

Most "gurus" that sell ebooks sell the "dream" of getting rich online because people don't want to hear the truth, which is working hard and keeping organized campaigns. It is not sexy but it is true.

Yep, I agree with Clinton. It took me 6 months to earn my first $100 (with adsense). From there on it is an easy way. I am experimenting with affiliate sales, now!
Making money on the Internet isnt much different than making money offline - It just takes hard work, dedication and effort. There is no 'get rich quick' scheme that is worth a dime and there is no 'easy' money online or off (Unless you inherit it or were born into it). I wouldnt say that I am getting rich, but I work full time at home on the net. It pays all my bills and buys me toys and even allows me to have time off to travel whenever I want.
