Does anyone ping their blogs still?

    It seems pinging a blog is dead. I was just about to start researching pings to add to Wordpress but most articles I can find say pinging is bad now and outdated.

    Your thoughts on if pinging is still good or bad?

    This is on established long term blog already ranked decent.

    monthly pinging still good but in weekly term i think not more helpful now.

    I don't use ping anymore.. But it helped to index my brand new blog longtime back.. Couldn't try it recently... Anyway don't waste your time pinging on established blogs ;-)
