Does anyone make good scratch with only 1 or 2 sites?

I mean, I figure we all start out with one or two, but one or two sustain a decent income?

 

my top 2 make $25 and $20 /day, nothing to brag about but it adds up as you get more and more sites

 

Shawn, stop telling lies...I make about .01 from DP / day, and since there are 1000000000000 users just like me and this is profit share forum.. you are making a GREAT(not good =]) scratch, good job, excellent forum!

 

1 site can easily be enough to earn a full time income, 2 can be great.

Me trying my very best with my current site .... heh, making like 5-20 a day, after 1-2 months of Adsense.

 

Out of all my sites, only two generate daily ad revenue. But it is enough to pay my annual internet connection bills and pay for computer upgrades and maintenance -- which is a good result.

But, while some people say they make enough from AdSense to live from, I do not think it will ever be as good as finding other ways to generate income from your site. People with premium content sites have the option of going for a subscription model and/or marketing merchandise associated with their site and/or selling their own advertising.

 

Once one or two sites "make it", it's hard to NOT branch out. By the time your first two sites have made enough "scratch" (as the OP put it), you've discovered all the shortcuts and tricks of the trade, and getting the third or fourth or fifth one to do equally well at a shorter period is pretty easy.

 

First sites the longest....I'm still on it.....and I'm not rich yet.

 

James, dude, you got some major errors on your page. At the bottom.

 

I am half month in adsence. And just 2 days ago I started to get over 300 - 400 uniques per day. My site serves technical content. I started to get abot 2$ per day, I hope this bottom line will stay. The main problem is, that I have a domain name which only points to subdomain - I guess this is confusing Goole spiders when they crawl. So the next thing I will do, I am going to puchase webspace where wil be only one and real domain name - this should show better results. Am I right?

4 - 5 is OK I think if you're quite new in adsense. just don't stop

i didn't see any subpages in the url, but there is a whole lot of wasted space above the fold on those pages... for instance, huge blocks dedicated to search on the left side of the home page, and too much open space around that big ad block in the center of the page.

area above the fold is premium, if you were to utilize it better, i bet your earnings would go up.

 

I make $500+ a month off two sites... I'm sure this is far from what you were meaning by "good scratch" but their earnings are always going up.

Yeah I know it looks ugly, I am figuting this out, as thisis a DRUPAL CMS. Need a little time to change temlapte code. I think I am going to put a picture next to big block on top to fill a space, and to clean up that space around search and links.
About these subpages the problem is that my webhoster doenst allow to park a domain, so I am only pointing to it with www.scienceprog.com. My real domain is scienceprog.vhost.lt/drupal/. This is all about money. As soon I will get my first earnings I will put them in normal hosting.
