Selling things other than guides on how to sell things on the internet? It seems to be that all of these people are getting rich selling the dream to people. No product just selling you a self-perpetuating guide to making money... Any comments?
You just hit the nail on the head. The people making real money don't sell ebooks about it, I assure you. The people making real money work really really hard.
I HATE ebooks about how to make money online. The authors all claim to have the best and only “system†or ways to make money you will ever need. If you think about it, why are they offering to tell you their secret and not just doing it themselves? Is it because they can make more by selling their “system†than they can by actually doing their system? I just gave away more info for free than most beginner ebooks have in them on my blog.
Yep, people who make real money just do it. If you buy an ebook, there's a high chance you're just caught up in paying someone else's bills. The quality of ebooks are super-low, and are just a method of making a little extra cash.
All you need for making money online is in this forum for free. Just add a dose of hard work to it and your done
I do not sell anything like that, but there is such a desire from people that visit these forums to do so that they seem to be hot sellers if the price is right. Sadly, too many people fall for these scams.
One surefire way of earning is Freelancing, if you've got talent that many others don't have then you have no need for these books. (I've quit my job because of this!) These 'rich' sellers are mostly scammers and liars.
There are a ton of other ways to make money online other then ebooks, but all of them involve hard work and dedication. Ebooks about making money online sell because many people are searching for the "easy" way to get rich rather then just working hard.
Most folks making a living off the net do not sell ebooks. Those are just a few that try to take advantage of a hot trend... and you just so happen to see them all over these boards since it is a prime selling ground for such information. I think if you spend some time browsing these boards you'll see there are far more folks making money in more conventional and reputable ways.
It is peculiar how many people's first instinct when they decide they want to make money online is "I'll sell an ebook about making money online!" It's like wanting to be a musician, but instead writing books about how to play the guitar There are billions of dollars being spent on the internet; a teeny, tiny fraction of that is more than most of us need to live a very comfortable life. The best pages can earn the best money, but it takes work and shrugging off setbacks.
I'm trying to make money off of blogging, I just started two blogs(not yet ready for the public). And I am making a music site that will take a lot of work to make but should make me lots of money in the long run. You need to look for long term, consistant ways of making money on the internet, thats where the real money is at.
I have had a number of various income streams from the internet and the one that has made me the most and been the most reliable is just freelancing. Work on developing a specific skill and then find people willing to pay you for that. Don't do ebooks.
Yes, they only make money by selling those books actually. I have not yet had a chance to find someone who actually sold their trading secrets *WHILE* they are using it. Most of them list *proof of concept* or *outdated* methods of getting the dough quick. I make money making websites for other people, a noble profession, I must say
Not all eBook sellers are bad, I've earned while selling them (check the threads for proof, or my blog ). I don't make any 'real' money, but more than enough to survive and definitely more than enough for a college student
I refuse to sell/advertise anything along those lines, making money online and such. I advertise things that people might want...physical objects and such.
Best way I have found to make money from ebooks is to write them yourself based on what you are trying to sell. Then give them away FREE, but have a cloaked affiliate link in them. I have written hundreds of articles and a few ebooks too, about college degrees, diplomas, legal loopholes, online education etc under various pen names. Of course, recommendations go to the site I want to promote.
yeah, i agree with much that was said here. these ebooks are very scammy and definitely not well-written at all! i do think that a few ebooks can be useful such as "how to write press releases," or something else that can serve as a good guide, nothing that sells you on "get-rich-quick" schemes.
