AT 4% profit if you want to make $5000 /month, you need to generate 5000 * (100 / 4) = $125,000 for amazon.
Haven't heard of anyone up in the 10% bracket, although a very few apparently make maybe around $500 a month.
It would be very hard to make a full living off of just Amazon, but I'm sure some people do. I get enough from them each month to keep using them, but I think they are best thought of as part of your overall money making strategy.
Amazon is like the virtual supermarket of the internet. Thanks to the high gas prices, their profit gone up
I want to believe those sort of earnings are possible, but it's so easy to fake these things nowadays.
I believe that was a way to earn that much money, but with those, we do need lots of work and strategy.. Right now, I am just a beginner with Amazon and I my first month, I gain around 1500 USD, ( ofcourse some quite expense too ) , and I am looking for more in next month and go on.
I'm making a living from Amazon. Both as an Associate and as a Developer of it's web services. I don't think the screenshots listed above are far fetched. Matter of fact a small shopping comparison engine could probably pull that off. While yahoo is not small by any means, they actually use the associates program on shopping.yahoo.com (which is a shopping comparison engine). Happy Selling!, PuReWebDev
Even the super affiliates don't only use Amazon as there income due to the very low percentage payouts
You can promote some of the additional programs to get 15% commissions (Small Parts is one). Also, I have lots of smaller sites that sell cheap impulse buy type goods to get my commission rates up so my main sites earn me more money. The last quarter is usually good but then the first quarter of the year is terrible. I've been at it over a year and still am not earning enough to stop working as a freelance programmer. It would probably take 50+ sites to make an income you could live on.
Yes, it is a lot of work and strategy too. And this comes along with some expenses you have to put as capital to gain organic traffic and eventually conversion....
I tried Amazon for a Few months on different blogs. Made 0.76$ as income. I am searching for alternatives.
It all depends on what products you have affiiliate links for. If your blog is reviewing posters or DVDs, you probably won't make that much revenue (unless you have incredibly high traffic, and most of which is converting into sales). However, if you review expensive items such as high powered amplifiers and networking systems for use in office buildings etc, your 5% of the sale could be worth well over $100. At this rate, you'd only need 50 sales per month to reach $5000 per month revenue. That's between 1 and 2 sales per day.
