Does anyone like the new Internet Explorer

    We've downloaded Internet Explorer 7 today and I can't make my mind up as to whether it's better or not. I can never understand why it is that when something is "upgraded" the new features can't just be added. I seem to have to waste hours of my time just learning how to do all the things I did before.

    Hmmm, I think I will have to stick with FireFox. I've been using it for such a long time, and I'd hate to go back to IE, no matter how many craptastic features it has

    i think i am not going to test it in near future; i am happy with FireFox;

    that might not as useful as it is in case of FF because all extensions will be developed by Microsoft itself (most probably)

    Really there is nothing innovative in IE7. IE7 is simply MSFT's attempt to play catch up because Firefox forced their hand. Of course most of FF "innovations" were really in Opera first.

    IE7 is good in the fact that it should be more secure than IE6 and starting in November it will be sent out as a critical update for WinXP, which should help encourage a quick uptake by regular users. The faster IE7 replaces IE6 the better as far as I'm concerned. I don't want to see a repeat of Netscape 4.7 where we were having to support it for years after it was declared obsolete.

    Well, 34 critical updates later, is IE6 still not the most unsecured browser on the planet? So I'd have to applaud IE7 for that alone.

    Let's face it, IE6 is about as secure as using dental floss for bungee jumping.

    On the other hand they can get away with being less innovative (I call this lazy) since their product ships with their OS, and 82% of the people out there in conmputerland are clueless to the fact that FF pwns IE!!!!!

    I dislike IE.
    I prefer FF.

    Why? FF is more secure, more addons, overwall a cool cat.
