Another method is to write unique article and submit it into different article directories, to get quality backlinks.
write news articles and submit it into press release directories to get quality backlinks.

You can get hundreds of one way backlinks by posting on do follow blogs and forums. However, you cannot get a lot of links at one time.

There are many ways in which you can get free backlinks. Though social bookmarking, linkbait articles, blogs and forum posts/signatures (dolofollow, on sites that allow that), directory submissions to sites like easysubmits.com (there are many free sites, but on some you gotta pay), through press releases (also some are paid but you can find website's and blogs that host press releases for free and which have a good PR). There are many articles and data bases / lists on the net that contain valuable information about getting free quality backlinks. Good luck to you!

 

I would be VERY careful of lots of free backlinks. Instead I would look for links who are on topic and relevant. There are many tools including SEO books hubfinder which enable you to look at how your competitors are deriving their link power. Hubfinder does charge for their tool now, but it does even goes as far as showing which sites link to multiple similar site.
I am looking into developing a similar free tool and when I do I will come back and post a link.

Create a resources page on your site and start doing some reciprocal links. Most directories do this for free.

there is many free traffic source on the internet that you can use to get backlinks for free, yes free backlinks with quality result, what does mean quality result, there is many factor that determain that backlinks is quality, and one of tha factor is relevancy.

 

The best way is to submit your website to directories that don't request a reciprocal link. There are hundreds of free directories out there, so just to a google search, but at the same time try and go for higher page ranked directories.

You can also submit articles to ezines, but this takes a lot more hard work.
