Does anyone know the Twitter following limitations?

I currently have 1700 followers on Twitter and when I reach just over 2000 that I am following, it prevents me from following any more. I was under the impression that as long as I had under a 1/1.5 ratio, I would be fine.

Does anyone know what the true limitations are??

    Thanks!

The ratio is 1 to every 1.1 once you hit the two thousand mark. So 1 follower to every 1.1 following.

So, I need to be over 1800 followers to follow more than 2000. I should be there by tomorrow and will check it out.

    Thanks for the reply!

you can follow 2000 people first , then they beat you down and you are limited to

110% (means if 100 people follow you , you are allowed to follow 110 you like)
