Does anyone know of quality directories that can get quality results?

Hello Everyone!

I have just started my journey of web development. I was curious to know about all the directories that one can try to get positive results out of the linkbacks. How to submit urls and where to do this?

Does anyone here know of the whole process?

I will love to hear from all the experienced people out there.

There are lots of directories out there. Why do you want to settle for a handful of them?
You can find thousands of them online. Just make a few rules and parameters while you go hunting for directories...
1. Determine the minimum homepage PR for your submissions
2. Make sure that the outbound links on the page are not too much
3. No bad neighborhood links
4. Categories properly managed
If all of these norms perfectly exist, then the directory is a good quality directory.

 

You want results from directories? One problem you will run into is the cues on many high PR directories. Today I saw directories with an about 100.000 links in the cue. In such a case I rather settle for a PR3 directory with less then a thousand submissions in the cue. Your chance of approval is higher and also your time until the link shows will be shorter.

 

Just google for ones that come under your catergory. Register on the sites you could also proberly find some free directories to register in.

 

These are 2 other futures of a quality directory:

- Works great with search engines. Your listing has a very good chance of being on the first page of Google when someone searches for your site.
- Includes logo and social network address of your site in your listing.

 

I found a very fast growing directory site: nfmnj.com. it has 24 hours approval. Its alexa ranking is as follows:

Look for directories in your niche. They'll help your site the most. If the page where you'll be listed ranks in google for some of the terms on the page then that directory will get some search engine hits that may pass a little bit of traffic to you. In addition, those types of directories will pass on link juice to help you rank in the search engines yourself.

 

There are lot quality directories.if you use paid directories then you get result, there are also good free directory sites which will ask you reciprocal link and for others it is hard to get approved your site DMOZ is not taking sites which have poor quality.

The OP was after quality directories. That one is a piece of crap. It has no PR. Full of pharamcy spam. Most deep pages are not even indexed in Google. Anyone wanting to be listed in that site is taking a huge risk.

 

i also found one directory where alexa ranking is 77000 & pr is 2.

He should have been more specific with the criteria. There are a couple of lists on the net, but most are just after volume.
