    http://www.talenthost.net - TalentHost.net - PR4 to PR 5
    http://www.lazymoneytools.com - LazyMoneyTools.com - PR0 to 3
    http://www.fasterpussycatcatering.com - Faster Pussycat Catering - PR0 to 4
    http://www.simplysplendidgifts.com - Simply Splendid Gifts - PR0 to 2

Something You are doing must be working.

However, I was pretty startled to see that with that Pussycat Catering site that you were averaging 1 visit a day With a PR of 4. Maybe some Keyword Optimization might help??

I've been using powerlinks.com on three of my sites for a few months now (along with traditional link building) and they've done very well so far.

Very happy with the service but i realise that it is a risk as G could take a dislike to it at any time i suppose.

    >I started using PowerLinks in early September for my main site.

I have not used PowerLinks, but I would never use it on any site that I considered a serious longterm investment. I would only use it on garbage sites

I would only think of PowerLinks for sites I would be expecting to get dumped at any time.

having said that I would suspect there are ways to pull thousands of dollars of value out of that program if you were creative, but I wouldn't be willing to put my name on the site or whois if I was doing it.

Based on my knowledge of Google, I would tend to agree with awall19.

one of my client is using it and i have not seen any backward links from them for 3 or more months already..i actually won;t advice to use such program.build links manually by means of marketing and not automating it ..thats the way to go..it is a hard and long way but definitely worth it

I'd use Linkvault instead. It's free and links are static.

i cancelled all my powerlinks accounts as they have been booted from google & yahoo
and also will be dumping gotlinks, asap, if one is a "link farm" they all are
im staying away from these link exchanges as its no longer a good or safe idea

Gotlinks gives you way too many options just to be written off as a link farm. If you click on Edit Links page you can changes links from automatic to manual linking to only sites that you approve and you can also exclude by directory. Ofcourse I advise you to be picky excluding Prescription Drugs and Gambling Sites at the very least. You can also use 5 different anchor text links and 2 different descriptions providing variety. You could just stick to your own directory and approve sites as they are added to the directory but I don't know how useful that would be when you only have 100 or so sites in a directory. 100 Links on PR 0 pages won't get you too far. Aslong as gotlinks.com is a PR 6 site I will keep using their service. Ofcourse this isn't an end all SEO solution but it beats submitting to 1000 directories by hand only to get back 20 backlinks in yahoo.

Basically gotlinks.com is for the small links and it leaves me open to focus on exchangeing links based on PR instead of submitting to directories by hand. I have also seen a signifigant jump in Yahoo and MSN (MSN is worthless don't bother) interms of the SERPs (with not so competitive keywords like Diabetes Forum) but nothing in google. One clear benefit from the service is that my whole site was crawled for the first time in all the major search engines.

Ofcourse I will have to dump the service eventually just because it isn't 100 percent dependable but I will have to build up my link exchange directory first which will take sometime.

    Powerlinks affer similar options
you can only approve certain links, any show certain links
this is under thier filter tab

    1. If you desire to review new member's websites before allowing them to trade links with you, you must check the box before the "I do not want to exchange links with new members until I approve them." statement. If you leave it unchecked, you will trade links with all future members automatically.
    2. To exclude websites and/or categories from trading links with you, simply change the dropdown menu next to the site/category from "keep" to "remove". If you choose not to exclude any websites or categories, you will trade links with all of our members by default.
I do not want to exchange links with new members until I approve them.

some say gotlinks is a powerlinks clone, stay away from both
as both reguire u to add code to your site
"Select the code (PHP or ASP) to create the GotLinks page on your web site and link to it from your home page."

    so thier basically the same.

Isn't the difference between them that with powerlinks they will create a links page for you (if required) and host it on their own server whereas gotlinks is directly on your links page.

Anyway, i've cancelled my Powerlinks accounts but left my Gotlinks ones for now.
