Does anyone know how to make video tutorials?

    If you are looking for a fantastic free solution, I recommend CamStudio. It's free to download and produces top quality videos.

    You can record in either AVI or SWF (this is what most marketers use to record videos for their products) format.

    I like to record in avi because the quality is better, but the file will be large.

    Here is a great way to fix that and make the video easy to upload to YouTube, MetaCafe, Viddler, etc.

    1. Record the video in AVI on CamStudio.

    2. Open Windows Movie Maker (NOT Windows Live Movie Maker) and import the video.

    3. Allow Windows Movie Maker to process the video and then save it as a WMV file to your PC. You can literally turn a 300MB AVI file into a 25MB WMV file with very little loss of quality.

    Upload to YouTube.

    This has always worked for me and I've made almost 100 videos liike this. No sense spending 200+ on Camtasia when this works just as well and it's free. If you want to make videos for a product, then you just record them in SWF mode using CamStudio.
