Does anyone know how to enter an example box of code into a site?

    I want to input an example box of code into my website to teach people what the code is that's needed to redirect a page and I can't enter it without some of the code being invisible to the reader. Does anyone know how to make this visible to a reader but not a browser? thanks!

    You can surround the code with <xmp> </xmp> :)
