Does anyone know how to build a social media website? I need the programmers who have the "know how" to get this project rolling! I am not telling you what my giant idea is, but lets just say it can make me and you big bucks if you can link me to the right people!
If you are looking for something similar to Facebook, MySpace, or LinkedIn there are existing scripts available for purchase which you could modify for your needs rather than hire a developer to write the entire script. One script I know of is PHPFox: http://www.phpfox.com
I run a couple custom coded Social Media web sites. If you are interested in having a customize social media web site I can code one for you. But I absolutely have ZERO interest in splitting revenue. I want money upfront for my product.
There are only just a few good social networking scripts around. I would recommend to make it as a Facebook app, creating a successful social media site is very close to impossible, but you can achieve great success with apps.
